We continually look for qualified new vendors of goods and services and we strongly encourage interest from potential vendors through our nationally recognized Supplier Diversity Program, which is open to U.S.-based minority- and women-owned enterprises who meet the program’s eligibility requirements.

The Workshop at Macy’s, our company’s first business development program, was launched in 2011 to foster growth in the next generation of minority- and women-owned merchandise suppliers. Conducted annually, this program is a foundational element of our commitment to vendor diversity.

In 2016, our purchases from minority- and women-owned businesses totaled more than $1 billion – surpassing the billion dollar mark for the third consecutive year.
